Restoring old wooden doors near Chappal Bazaar
The typical Kacheguda heritage door is a heavy double-shutter panelled wooden door with brass fittings. When these doors drop or drag it is rarely the panel — it is the frame moving with the building or the original hinges (often riveted, not screwed) working loose. We reset original brass hinges wherever possible, replace only when the pin has genuinely failed, and re-cut the hinge seat cleanly.
