Not every fridge problem needs a compressor. A ripped rubber gasket around the door lets warm air in, forces the compressor to run 24/7 and doubles your electricity bill — a gasket change is ₹500–₹1,200 and pays for itself in a month. A faulty thermostat causes over-cooling or no cooling — a swap takes 20 minutes. PCB / inverter board failure on modern LG and Samsung fridges is fixable at the chip level (much cheaper than full board replacement). Double door fridge not cooling
Freezer was working but the lower compartment was warm. Technician found a choked defrost drain and a faulty thermostat, replaced it the same visit and charged exactly what was quoted. Fridge is cooling perfectly now.
